ACCOUNT DIRECTOR
LONDON (Hybrid Working)
A benchmarked salary between £46,000 to £52,000 based on your level within our progression framework. You can read more about our approach to performance, salary, and progression here. This role has an additional commission structure.

Born Social is a global social media agency that brings social-first thinking to the brands of tomorrow.
For the last 10 years, we’ve helped brands navigate and harness the chaos of social by bringing method to the madness. We partner with the brands of tomorrow, future-focused and growing companies, from household names like Guinness, Dettol, and Marks & Spencer to the next generation of big brands like Nando's, Fever-Tree, and Mission Tea.
We're an ambitious team of almost 80 people and not stopping there. We're growing fast and so we're looking for a new Account Director to join our team.
✏️ What you'll be doing:
- Strategic development of client work.
- Leadership of internal account teams: Heading up client teams to ensure we deliver our best work including creatives, paid media managers, and social media managers.
- Leading relationship development: building long-lasting relationships with our clients and agency partners.
- Client development: Identifying new areas of client opportunity, and managing the scoping processes
- Results orientated: We want to deliver great work that adds real value, so we never take our eyes off the ROI, you'll be responsible for ensuring the value our clients need to see is being delivered through the work.
- Commercial management of clients: Using our software and processes to report on the health of your accounts, working closely with our finance and operations team to do this.
- Ambition to grow: You will be a large part of a growing company that’s constantly adapting to the ever-evolving world of social. We need people who push for progress, and seize opportunity.
👀 Who we're looking for:
- 4+ years of agency experience in client services roles: delivering social strategy and development of interesting brands.
- Brilliantly personable: communication is the lifeblood of this role. Your passion must lie in working with people. You must have a natural ability to handle challenging situations and personalities with charm.
- A love for marketing and social media: you must be fascinated by brands, how they market themselves and use social media to do this. You will be naturally curious about the developments of digital and excited to try it out on your clients.
- Highly organised: social is fast, there’s a lot of content and a lot of deadlines so the ability to run a tight ship is a must.
- Experience in the commercial management of clients.
