For the last 10 years, we’ve helped brands navigate and harness the chaos of social bringing method to the madness. From household names like Guinness, Dettol, and Marks & Spencer to the next generation of big brands like Nando's, Fever-Tree, and Mission Tea.
We're an ambitious team of almost 100 people and not stopping there. We're growing fast and so we're looking for another Social Media Manager to join our team.
We are looking for a passionate Social Media Manager to work specifically on our brilliant long term client, Mars Wrigley's Confectionery.
You will work with them exclusively, managing two brands - Extra & Celebrations - and will form part of the internal Mars 'brand content hub' team. This means you essentially sit between brand-side and agency-side, giving you the best of both worlds!
As a Social Media Manager within the BCC hub, you will be responsible for supporting the Mars Brand & Content Manager as the social lead, to complete social toolkits which cover both campaigns and everyday relevance across the key brand objectives. You’ll collaborate with the European Brand Council, managing stakeholders across different markets to review content, feedback on best practise, as well as then briefing creative output.

✏️ What you'll be doing:
- Content ideation: Using insights about the brand’s audiences on social, plus your expertise of platforms and the social landscape, to come up with social-first concepts to live across the brand’s platforms for both everyday relevance and campaigns.
- Copywriting: Coming up with captions for the assets that live on the brand’s social platforms, ensuring this represents best practise social-first copy and the brand’s tone of voice.
- Creative briefing: Working with a Creative team, overseeing their output development and reviewing this against the brand strategy and best practise social media output.
- Reactive content ideation: Proactively social-listening, looking out for key moments in culture or within your target audience, and leading on developing the concepts to quickly react.
- Stakeholder management: Working with the Mars stakeholders across both regional and local teams to advise on best practise social media management, as well as ensuring content provided meets their brand needs, plus supporting on any key brand challenges.
- Interagency collaboration: Working with other key agencies across Media, Creative, and PR to ensure output across different channels is consistent across brand strategy.
👀 Who we're looking for:
- A creative thinker & writer: you're able to work both independently and collaboratively on ideation and copy for content across social.
- You love brands and social media: you're fascinated by brands, how they market themselves, and use social media to do this. You are naturally curious about the developments of the digital world and excited by its potential.
- A brilliant communicator: you pride yourself on your ability to build relationships and use these to facilitate best in class collaboration and output.
- Pride in your work: we treat our client's brands as our own and are meticulous about our approach. You will take real pride in what you deliver and always strive for perfection
- Real drive and ambition: you'll be constantly adapting to the ever-growing world of social, and we need people who have the mindset of growth as well as the ambition to get there
- You'll have two or more years of experience working with social media (agency-side preferable)
